Zumba Fitness hit the UK scene in 2010, and inspired lot of people to get into
shape. It has proven very effective for a number of individuals and getting lot of good reviews

What is Zumba Fitness?
Zumba program is created by Alberto “Beto” Perez in Colombia. The way how Zumba
came on was by purely accidental. In 90’s Beto in his native Cali, Colombia, forgot to bring his
aerobics music for aerobics lessons. To patch things up, he made a mix using his own music and
tapes that he had in his pack. There the Zumba was born, the fitness was based on music which let
people move the way how the music moves them. The students loved it and the energy was flowing (and
burning!). A brand new way to fitness was created then, when latin inspired music influenced a new
way of keeping fit.
About the work out
The main factor in this work out in music. It makes you feel that you are just dancing
to the music that you love, however in the dance is a work out which is approved by various
recognised fitness associations including Aerobic and Fitness Association of America, American
Council on Exercises and the Canadian Personal Trainer Association.

Zumba Fitness DVD
The DVD pack contains Zumba Basics which runs for about 60 minutes and provides you a
detailed overview on the main Zumba steps. It is strongly recommended that you do this basic steps
before you do any other workouts. The basic steps contains 3 parts per move, and some people find
it tricky to master them with the music. But once you learnt it, it is very fun. The DVD contains a
20 minute express which helps people who are in a rush and wants to have a quick workout on various
types of Zumba work out. The next item in the list of DVD is Cardio party, which runs for 50
minutes which is designed to burn calories. The DVD also contains Sculpt and Tone and run for 45
minutes which is meant to sculpt and tone various parts of the body.
Another element of the DVD is Zumba Live, which is filmed with live group and provides
you a feel for the group atmosphere.
